This was an interesting week for couponing. My results are below. I must say I’m getting pretty good at shopping at Bi-Lo. I have absolutely NO problem with coupons there. Walgreens, however, was a different story. I tried to use $8 reward from a previous purchase and it wouldn’t take. The manager had to come over . She couldn’t figure out why, so they voided the order, entered the coupon first then everything took. I got $10 reward from that transaction and tried to use six “manufacturer” coupons for six items. Obviously, the $10 (a $2 plus an $8) are considered manufacturer coupons also. So because I had 8 manufacturer coupons and only six items, I couldn’t use it. I realized later that I should have divided that into two transactions. Oh well, live and learn.
The irony is, I go grocery shopping and don’t feel like cooking, so we end up grabbing fast food! I’m going to work on that. My daughter has told me not to bring home any more soap, deodorant, toilet paper, or cereal! I must say I went crazy on the cereal at Bi-Lo. My son loves Cinnamon Toast Crunch and it’s sooooo expensive. Bi-Lo had it B1G1 (buy 1, get 1) and I had several $1.00/2 coupons, so I bought 6 boxes, then I had a $.55 off Honey Nut Cheerios, so I bought that. It was also B1G1. The good thing about Bi-Lo is when they offer B1G1, you can get just one of the items at half price.

We would be a great pair. I hate to grocery shop, but I enjoy cooking! My four kids are all home for the summer and two of them will be leaving this next week. My oldest daughter is starting her first "professional job" at the Montana Supreme Court, and my oldest son is returning to college. Luckily they are only 2 and 1 hour away. This has been my unfun summer because I took four classes. What was I thinking? How much longer do you have until you are done Chandra? I have my last class in September and will be done the 1st of November. You will probably hear me singing in SC! Keep up those bargain shopping trips! We don't have Bilo in Montana. Talk to you soon!
ReplyDeleteWow. I took three courses last summer and it was "unfun" for me. :-) This is my very last class, so on August 20th, you can stick a fork in me, 'cause I'm done!
